Barts BioResource

The aim of the Barts BioResource (BBR) is to establish and grow a biobank with a linked health data repository with the consent of patients managed by Barts Health NHS Trust. The BBR is built using the donation of biological samples including human blood, saliva, swabs, urine, faeces and soft/solid tissue (e.g. blood vessels and heart tissue) and associated health data. The purpose of the BBR is to provide samples and data to facilitate numerous approved research studies into health, including identifying, treating and preventing disease.
